Birding Africa Guide Dalton Gibbs took Stephan and Otji on a two-day loop in September from Cape Town to the Tanqua Karoo. They saw specials such as Protea Seed-eater (Canary), Mountain Wheatear and Spike-heeled Lark. At night abounded Smith’s Red Rock Rabbit and Spotted Eagle Owl.
