Claire’s Cuckoo Finches in the spotlight

Dr Claire Spottiswoode, Birding Africa co-founder and University of Cambridge scientist, discovered with Dr Martin Stevens how Tawny-flanked Prinias discern their eggs from those of parasitic Cuckoo Finches.

    This could be really sad – Africa’s first extinct bird species? Is Birdlife International going to do a follow up survey to confirm?
